In a Classroom Together

If your school is in person and you want a whole class to join together in one physical classroom, then here is your to-do list! Follow these steps and you will have a club running in no time! Below you will find a step-by-step process on how to get everything set up. Remember that the new schools team is always here to help at schools.pinnacle@the4network.org or also by just typing "SCHOOLS" into the chat below!

Choose a club you want to offer for children at your school. The clubs we currently offer can be found below.

And that is not all! If you would like a different club, then do not worry. There are currently around 50 instructors going through the course creation and general instructor assessment process, so we will soon have more clubs. However, if the club you want is not on the list, just send an email to admissions@the4network.org stating the club you would like. We have a large network of people who are willing to help and can instruct a large variety of different subjects.

Find the correct countrywide department to email. The format of these email addresses are country@the4network.org (for example, for Ghana it would be ghana@the4network.org). Include the following information in your email:

  • The name of your school

  • The class(es) you have chosen and the ages of the people who are expected to be joining

  • The name of the person submitting the form

  • The post code of the school

  • The school website

  • The fact that all of the students are joining from a physical classroom

We will reply with the times for each club in EST. Should any of them no longer work for you, refine the list and send it back again. This will be your final list. If all of them still work, just confirm that you want all of them.

You can now tell people about the club and get people to sign up through your school. Once you are ready to start the club, just send us an email. We will give you the zoom link for the class. If there are more than 15 people in your physical classroom who are joining in, we will offer you/the other people not from the school in the class a private session only for the people from your school.

We will send homework, activities and zoom links to the email which was provided to us at first. Otherwise, you can tell us which teacher is supervising which club so we can send the activities to the correct person directly. For general science, if the school wants to offer wet labs, the school can order the materials from our provided PDF. You will need the materials listed as many times as you have students, with the exception of some materials listed on the list we send (such as baking soda) for which you can just buy a larger package. To supply materials, you can charge for the club or use the school's money, or not buy any. The choice is yours! All other clubs do not require materials, and, to make clubs open to everyone, we ask that you don't charge for any club but science, and for science you divide up any money not used for materials and redistribute it/ use the money for the school.
